24. Etta James
At Last
In 1961, Etta James recorded a song that would be played at weddings probably until the end of time. While “At Last” was a huge hit, it wasn’t her first foray into music. She originally became popular in 1955 during her introduction to the R&B charts. Etta continued to release music until 2011, the year before she departed this earth. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame called her one of the greatest voices of the century.
